Nichi Bei Times Closes, Nonprofit Hopes to Continue Legacy

The Nichi Bei Times’s board of directors has decided to close Northern California’s oldest Japanese-American newspaper after 63 years in business. Its staff and community members plan to start a nonprofit version of the paper.
